About the Pictou County Chapter
On October 15, 2011 the Pictou County Chapter was formed then on February 02, 2016 due to demand and increased resources the Pictou County Chapter expanded to include all of Pictou County and since then is known as the Pictou County Chapter.
Our Chapter focuses on offering our trap, neuter & return (TNR) program to the community cats of Pictou County. We ensure there is always an independent caregiver who assumes daily responsibility for the cats, however caregivers can contact us as we remain committed and will return to the colony should new cats be present or if one of the TNR cats require medical care.
We are not a shelter and because our focus is offering TNR to community cats we actively seek out other organizations such as the NSSPCA who can help with rehoming any tame cats or kittens we come across during our work.
The Pictou County Chapter has a very diverse group of volunteers and members of all ages; starting at age 5, including working class as well as those retired. Our meetings on the first Tuesday of the month are fun and informal.
Due to limited resources we are not able to assist with cats located outside the Pictou County area. Thank you for your understanding.
